Review : Samsung NX30

Samsung NX30 Reviews

Samsung NX30

Samsung NX30 - The decreasing trend of the compact camera market, tricked various vendors to deliver mirrorless camera mode. Samsung as one of the players in this business more seriously to the presence of NX300. In January 2014 ago, Samsung officially launched its new flagship NX camera SLR style, the NX30 series.

Samsung NX30 still uses an APS-C CMOS sensor 20,3MP own design and Hybrid AF system as the NX300 compact camera. The SLR-style mirrorless camera brings handgrip shape that looks more like an SLR when compared to the NX20. Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) of the NX30 is also quite unique in that it can be pulled and bent upwards.

While other changes is the Super AMOLED screen of a higher quality, improved video capabilities, WiFi features a deeper, and there is NFC (Near Field Communication). As to whether the ability of NX series camera Samsung's latest flagship is this? Check out the review here.

Specification

  • 20.3-megapixel CMOS sensor with on-chip AF
  • Hybrid AF system has 105 points and 247 points detection phase contrast
  • Image Processos DRIMeIV
  • Shutter speed of 1 / 8000sec
  • ISO 100-25600
  • Viewfinder XGA that can be bent up to 80 degrees
  • Super AMOLED screen 3-inch
  • More customization button
  • 9 fps burst mode

  • Uncompressed HDMI output at 30 fps
  • Wi-Fi and NFC
  • Features 'Smart Camera 3.0' with remote shooting, 'Group Share', and baby monitors
  • Includes Adobe Lightroom 5

Design

In terms of design, the Samsung NX30 is somewhat more pronounced than the SLR like the previous version (NX20). Therefore, the shape of the handgrip at a deeper NX30, NX20 while more gentle. This handgrip changes make users more comfortable holding. In addition, the form also strengthen the grip of the fingers so as not slippery when held. Solid grip feels good when used in landscape or portrait.

Shape larger handgrip also contains more buttons. On top of the handgrip NX30 is now contained WiFi button, metering, and zoom. In terms of size, the Samsung NX30 body is bigger / higher of the NX20. Samsung NX30 body has dimensions of 127 x 96 x 58 mm and weighs 375 grams, while the NX20 122 x 90 x 40mm with a weight of 341 grams.
Samsung NX30

At the top of the menu there is a menu control rotary (dial) and an additional drive mode menu. This drive is a shortcut menu or quick access to change the decision of a single shot, burst shot, timer, or bracket. The same shape as the drive mode menu navigation control dial with rods. On the menu control dial Samsung adds functionality Auto, additional Custom, and WiFi for wireless connection settings deeper.

Video recording button is moved to the right near the drive mode menu. The key shift (at NX20 is near the menu dial) can avoid inadvertently video recording. But after we tried NX30 several times, this is precisely the shift key is a little difficult, because it was not quite fit with the fall of the thumb and the presence of slightly upwards. For the US and Europe, which generally have larger hands than Asians may not be too troubled by this.

In the camera viewfinder is quite unique and interesting. NX30 is Samsung's first mirrorless camera that offers the Electronic Viewfinder can be bent upwards. EVF with 2.4 million at this point could pull back so much longer, and can be bent up to 80 degrees. This feature helps the photographer to prevent glare when taking pictures in daylight. In addition, by pulling / lengthen EVF can also avoid touching the nose to the back of the camera body. In EVF Samsung NX30 also a proximity sensor that will automatically display the image in the viewfinder or on its 3-inch screen.
Samsung NX30

NX30 display panel can also be rotated up to 270 degrees as the NX20. However, the screen quality is higher than the NX20 NX30. According to Samsung, the 3-inch screen uses Super AMOLED NX30 with 1.04 million dots and 33% brighter than the screen NX20. This screen also receive commands touch (touchscreen) that allows users to search for focus or even directly take pictures.

Turning to the left side of the body, there is a port for a mic for audio recording externally. On the right side of the body there is a micro USB port and a micro HDMI. For the micro USB port, but used for data transfer, Samsung also use it to charge the battery, it is not included external charger / desktop in the sales package. At the bottom of the body there is a thread for a tripod, as well as the battery and memory card type SD Card is a door with it. At the top there is a hot shoe for external flash or other accessories.

The body is made of polycarbonate material, but it looks like plastic. But overall, the Samsung NX30 camera body that feels comfortable to hold and lightweight enough.

Performance

Performance section we begin with the startup time. Time (process) turn on the Samsung NX30 from the off state to the on fairly quickly. Experiments we did it only took about less than 1 second to make the screen straight on. As for taking pictures, no waiting time of about a fraction of a second.

For Auto Focus (AF), Samsung claims 35% faster than before. Once we tried the Samsung NX30 few days, we felt it was spelled AF quickly. Focus the search process in low-light conditions too fast. Lights green assists helped the AF of this NX30. Our experience in taking low-light objects found results accurate focus.

Thanks to the manifold touchscreen LCD display, the selection of the focus becomes easier. Quite touching the screen the desired spot, then the camera will automatically focus to that point. Not only tap-to-focus, NX30 also provides features tap-to-shoot. This feature can be found on the menu Touch AF.

We also tested a continuous image capture through Continuous High features. This mode can take 9 pictures per second with full resolution 20MP. When we try ability, this mode captures up to 39 frames. Initial frames captured quickly, but then slowed to a stop slingshot. We suspect there are technical limitations to the use of storage media. When testing we use the default Samsung SD memory HC class 10.
Samsung NX30

The process of continuous storage of images is ongoing although the camera has completed a slingshot. Interestingly, users can still take a new picture, despite previous image storage process was still underway. In other words, image storage is not close other processes. It is enough to help photographers to capture important moments that suddenly occur.

For the main screen measuring 3 inches we feel very satisfactory. Although used when noon with the sun, the colors shown manifold Super AMOLED screen looks sharp with good accuracy. Screen brightness can also be adjusted automatically as the Samsung NX30 also embedded light sensors. While its EVF we feel not as good as the screen size. After several attempts, we prefer to take pictures in live view with this NX30. However, it should be noted that if too frequent use live view would be draining the battery.

If used nonstop with live view is always active, maybe the battery only lasted half a day. But if not so often, about two to four times to enable live view in every moment, the battery is quite capable or the same as any other SLR cameras. Our experience when shooting with live view is quite active during the day with the sun, the battery is drained by about 50%. Quite frugal. Samsung NX30 uses 1.410mAh battery capacity.

Features

Samsung NX30 features brought quite abundant. Supports WiFi and NFC connectivity. With WiFi, users can directly transfer the photos / videos to the device to a computer, smartphone, or tablet wirelessly. If the NX30 is connected to WiFi internet access, users can instantly upload the photos / videos to Facebook, Picasa, YouTube, Dropbox, Flickr, or Samsung's cloud storage.

In addition, the wireless feature is also utilized Samsung to bring Remote Viewfinder and Baby Monitors. This feature allows users to see the live view cameras from mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. One of its uses is to facilitate the photographer taking pictures of angle which is very difficult to reach or possibly harmful.

There is also a wireless feature called Auto Share are automatically transfer files to the device is connected, shortly after the photo was taken. This feature is quite help photographers who are in live action. For example, in a concert or ball game, a photographer assigned to take pictures, then the photo is sent automatically to the operator that will display the photo. Of course this will save time, rather than back and forth photographer must provide memory card.

On the shortcut keys, there is the Fn key which opens fast access to a number of controls, such as aperture, ISO speed, white balance, and more. While IFN button on the supplied 18-55mm kit lens also speed up access to the main settings, such as setting aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, and i-Zoom.

i-Zoom is a feature that furthered the view commonly known as software or digital zoom. So, the default lens, this camera has two zoom, the optical and digital. Here are our experiments using these features. Photos taken with a maximum optical zoom lens kit and plus i-Zoom x2. The images seen no reduction in quality, but the look is still very good.

Image Quality and Noise

From ISO 100 to 400, the image is barely visible presence of noise. While at ISO 800, when considered in detail, there is noise that appears start bit, but overall is still quite good. Samsung NX30 camera also features noise reduction. Balance between detail and processing camera to take photographs with ISO 800 is still pretty sight. Main details still visible in the ISO's.

The resulting color with congenital lens is fairly sharp. Saturation can be higher when activating the Smart Dynamic or HDR. In a live capture, color saturation can be directly regulated by Picture Wizard feature.

To capture low-light as the night the day, provided the Night mode on the control dial Smart. For ordinary users, this feature is very helpful, with the result that is quite good. Brightness enough with enough detail, although not as clear as daylight. This mode once took some photos in a snap and then incorporate them into a picture. Photos of the evening as the example photos below were taken using this mode.

Movie

Samsung NX30 video capture capabilities that we think is very good is the focus speed and stable. Occasionally, the focus during video recording looks rather difficult as the video below. But overall, the focus fairly quickly. Even more interesting, because it uses the touch screen, video recording can also touch-to-focus. In addition, the focus search with congenital lens is not noisy.

Samsung NX30 offers features such as dual-optical and digital stabilization. Recording that we try with the way the handheld is noticeably more stable and smooth.

For video recording, users only need to press the red record video only. No special dial menu for video mode. As for the settings can be accessed through the Menu button. Resolution video recording supported by the Samsung NX30 is 1920x1080 (50p), 1920x1080 (25p), 1920x810 (24p), 1280x720 (50p), 1280x720 (25p), 640x480 (25p), and 240 for the web. Movement or Multi Motion can be set from 0.25x to 20x. Mic audio settings can be set automatically or manually. This camera also features a Wind Cut capable of reducing noise / noise sound of the wind.

Excess
  • Lightweight body,  a solid grip
  • Many of the features that make it easy to operate
  • There is WiFi and NFC

Shortage
  • The price is relatively high compared to competitors

Conclusion

Slick Samsung NX30 camera combines innovation. A number of features and design bring a plus on this camera. Some like to form a compact camera, but there are also those who enjoyed the DSLR form. Each does have advantages and disadvantages. Compact mirrorless slimmer so not many eating places when stored. But DSLR design also has the advantage of grip strength through its shape typical handgrip.

This camera is not only suitable for professionals, but also beginners. The assortment of features at once memprecepat facilitate the operation of the camera. Some minor flaws such as the placement of the record became a little note from us. As for the picture to be one satisfactory among competitors, although only with the kit lens. For those who like to take a video, the ability of the stabilizer feature on this camera is also cool. Moreover, Super AMOLED screen can spoil the eye with a fantastic color, either while previewing photos or video playback. Ability touch-to-focus also adds to the ease of operation of the Samsung NX30 video mode.

Review : Lenovo S820

Lenovo S820 Reviews

 Lenovo S820

Lenovo S820 Reviews - After we finished reviewing the Lenovo S920, now our arrival headset Lenovo S820 which is one level below the S920. The fall in the level means that there is some specs revealed, but not to the camera, where the S820 has a higher resolution camera is 12MP. Please read the review below.

Specifications

  • GSM 900/1800/1900 (SIM 1 & 2)
  • HSDPA 900/2100 (SIM 1)
  • Dual sim GSM
  • 4.7 inch IPS screen, 1280 x 720 pixels (~ 312 ppi)
  • Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
  • Processor MTK 6589 1.2 GHz Quad-Core
  • GPU PowerVR SGX544
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 4GB Internal Memory
  • MicroSD slot up to 32GB
  • 13MP autofocus main camera + LED flash
  • 2MP front camera
  • battery 2000mAh

Design

Lenovo S920 we have said is similar to the design of the HTC One X, and even more similar to S820 again as it has a protective glass screen slightly causing any out. This phone has dimensions of 139.5 x 69.7 x 9 mm and weighs 143 grams, is clearly more comfortable grip and portability than S920. The entire body is made of Polycarbonate plastic glossy and white to color as our test unit has metallic accents.
 Lenovo S820

The face filled with earpiece, proximity and light sensor, front camera, 4.7-inch screen, three capacitive buttons Android function without backlight, LED notification shaped line and mic. The back is filled with the main camera, LED flash, and a speaker at the bottom. For the two SIM card slot and microSD memory card slot is located behind the back cover.
 Lenovo S820

The left side of the phone is loaded with the volume buttons, while the right side of the plain. The upper part is filled with a 3.5mm headset port and the lock / power are less prominent presence. The lower part is filled with the microUSB port.

Just like the S920, S820 uses IPS screen resolution HD 720p (720 x 1280 pixels), but because it is mounted on a 4.7-inch screen size of the display S820 then look smoother and sharper (320 ppi). The screen quality is also good, colors appear bright and lively, wide viewing angle of vision also unfortunately despite using a curved glass coating made in Corning, but Lenovo does not put the screen as close as possible so it still feels the presence of the gap.

Interface

The interface  Lenovo S820 Launcher v2.0 which runs on Android 4.2. Of course with the Lenovo Launcher you will be given a lot of detailed customization options (themes, transition effects, decorations icons, and others) even until there is an auto cleaner to relieve RAM. There are also other features such as Pocket Mode, Tone Decrease,, Smart Answers, Smart Roll, and Wide Touch. Where the last two features are not owned S920.

Only perform simple lockscreen page there any place to add widgets and shortcuts to the camera, while the slider just to open a screen with no shortcuts to specific applications.
Defaults are just standard Android keyboard to accommodate the needs of typing. Nothing to complain because this standard keyboard can meet standard requirements in typing.

Camera

One of the advantages of this phone is located in the main camera has a 13MP resolution (4096x3072 pixels) autofocus camera equipped with LED flash and front 2MP fixed focus camera. Unlike the S920, S820 camera applications using Super Camera application as used K900.
 Lenovo S820

The results of this camera looks good, but not impressive. For the results look great room with natural color, and quite sharp and minimal noise. You can also take advantage of the LED flash for low light room conditions. For outdoor although quite natural color but we see less able to accommodate the camera focus and level of detail appropriate for distant objects so it looks a little blurry. Likewise for the macro picture looks less focused.
 Lenovo S820

The rear camera records video up to 1080p FullHD resolution. The interface integrates with camera video recording you just need to move the slider mode. After the switch to video recording mode it will be given a few features such as the EIS stabilizer, LED flash, and more. When you are recording at the same time you can also take pictures.

Other

Gallery or here using an application called Super Gallery presents the pictures and video content with the arrangement based on the time they were taken in the default which can be changed also by folder, horizontally and vertically. At first glance it looks similar to the gallery is similar in Windows Phone.

Unfortunately S820 only provide Google the default music player application is not made by Lenovo itself. Music collections can be displayed based on the playlists, recent, artists, albums, songs, genres. Do not miss the feature equalizer to adjust the sound output according to preference. Via headset powered audible sound output, to via speakers though sounded fairly strong but if it is set to the maximum position will sound a little broken and painful to hear.

In addition to the Super Gallery video content can also be played in a dedicated application. The interface is simple, which divides the two existing video content between the camera and video recording another. This video player only provides a standard feature when the video is played as the aspect ratio, brightness, back, play / pause, next, stop, screenshots and lock (prevents accidentally touched the screen). Unfortunately, despite the relatively broad support for video formats like MP $, AVI, MKV, and WMV but does not support subtitles.

As in S920, S820 features an FM radio does not require a headset plugged in because it has a built-in antenna. There are auto search, sleep mode, and recording.

Exploring the virtual world can be done with the default browser using Mobile Safari engine. This browser can do multitab up to 16 tabs. Performance is good enough to open a web page version of the desktop, although sometimes feels stutter but still understandable. Just as in S920 browser, this browser does not support playback of Flash content. In addition to the default browser in Chrome's default condition there is also an alternative.

For HTML5 test results, the default browser scored 434 with 12 bonus points. Score Sunspider, this browser to get the numbers 1599.8 ms (the smaller the better).

Connectivity

Lenovo S820 runs on networks triband GSM 900/1800/1900 and dualband HSDPA 900 / 2100. For local connectivity there is WiFi 802. 11 a / b / g / n dual-band, Bluetooth v3.0, A-GPS, microUSB v2. 0, and microSD support up to 32GB.

For mandatory feature Lenovo is a dual SIM GSM-GSM, slot one can hurtle up while the HSDPA connection for two SIM just stuck on GSM. Available settings for the use of two SIM in the Settings menu.

Benchmark Results

  • Quadrant Standard: 4835 points
  • AnTuTu: 13 459 points
  • NenaMark2: 44.5 fps
  • Multitouch Tester: maximum 5 touch

Battery Life

Lenovo S820 uses a Lithium Ion battery 2000 mAh size that is claimed to last stand by time up to 140 hours and talk time up to 10 hours on 3G networks. We conducted an experiment to play mkv video for 1 hour in a state of cellular and WiFi networks active and auto brightness level, the position of the battery of 100% was reduced to 91%, which could mean if it continues to play a video phone can last 9 hours. Lenovo also do not forget to give Lenovo Power battery management application that can intelligently regulate the use of resources in order to more efficiently either automatically or manually according to preference, and it proved the usefulness of this application.

Excess
  • Batteries with good management
  • sharp screen
  • Rich interface customization and features

Shortage
  • Android function keys absent backlight
  • The main camera quality is not special

Conclusion

Compared with S920, if we were to choose, we would prefer S820. Why is that? Due to the more compact design and the same screen resolution which affected the sharper screen, as well as in terms of software and features that are more complete, do not miss the cheaper price difference. One sticking point in this phone is the absence of a backlight for Android capacitive buttons function. Indeed, Lenovo provides buttons with chrome luster, but what if you were in the room in total darkness, of course difficult is not it? Because the capacitive buttons do not have a texture that can be touched and known position. Although one of the features you'll enjoy, but owned S820 12MP camera does not have a special performance, only to win in big resolution and premium features.

Review : Xiaomi Mi3

Xiaomi Mi3 Reviews

Xiaomi Mi3

Xiaomi Mi3 - Unlike a few years ago, the Chinese mobile phone vendors now can not be underestimated. Some vendors are starting to show that they are able to make a smartphone with world-class performance and has been expanded to various countries other than the Bamboo Curtain country. One is Xiaomi, who dubbed his Apple China. We got a chance to do a review of the unit Xiaomi MI3

Specification

  • 5-inch IPS screen resolution Full HD 1080p
  • 2.3 GHz Snapdragon processor 800 MSM8974AB
  • 2GB RAM, 16 or 64GB of storage
  • Android 4.3 Jelly Bean
  • 3G HSDPA
  • 13MP camera with 1080p video recording, 2MP front camera
  • battery 3050mAh

Does the performance and features Xiaomi MI3  able to compete with large vendors hero today?

Design

Electronic products from the Bamboo Curtain country has a negative stereotype of the quality of materials and product design that is. But for Xiaomi MI3 this relatively not apply. MI3 showed his class as a top-class smartphone. Cover the back side at the same time that wraps MI3 is a polycarbonate material with a matte finishing touch. Looks cool, as well as jamming enough grip for a bit rough, but if there is sweat or oil sticking to the material as it is relatively difficult to clean. The shape of the phone body itself is somewhat similar to the Nokia Lumia series, the difference is a little more rigid MI3. Xiaomi MI3 is a solid phone when gripped, simply follow the side of the hand grip, but for a flat rear cover. For the 5-inch size, MI3 is rather big and heavy compared to the Samsung Galaxy S4 and LG G2 for example, but still lighter than the Sony Xperia Z1.
Xiaomi Mi3

Not many buttons are perched on Xiaomi MI3. There is only the volume and power buttons on the right. For a micro SIM slot, there is at the top of the phone, next to the 3.5mm audio jack. SIM card itself can be added to the system tray. Meanwhile, the micro USB port adjacent to the loudspeaker at the bottom. Under the 5-inch full HD screen, there are three capacitive buttons: menu, home and lock. Xiaomi logo at the top left of the screen, while at the back of the logo appears at the bottom, with a touch arise.

On the official website, Xiaomi claims that belong MI3 IPS screen is Sharp or LG. So do not be surprised if the screen FullHD 1920x1080 pixels (441 ppi) of this device has an indisputable quality. The level of brightness, contrast, black level and saturation are at the right point. Viewing angle itself does not affect the quality of the color on the screen. The screen is vivid, but at the same time still natural. Characteristics screen itself is similar to the most upscale smartphone LG, such as LG G Pro or LG G2, slightly warm. One drawback MI3 screen is less good performance when under the scorching sun, but the brightness level has been set maximum.

More interestingly, there are various settings for the display. If you like a more warm screen, you can change it through the Color Temperature settings in the Settings menu, with three options: Warm, Standard and Cool. Another one is the color saturation setting, with two options: Brilliant and Standard. In addition to the customization settings, there is also the option Glove Mode, which makes the screen to be super sensitive, allowing you to operate MI3 by hand using gloves. Also the option to lock the screen automatically when the phone is placed in the bag, to avoid inadvertently operating the phone.

Interface

Views on MI3 highly customizable, no wonder because MI3 using MIUI interface with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. So, you can download a lot of custom items such as Themes to choose from, both free and paid. For the default themes, there are additional themes '' Hello, Singapore! '' Complete with wallpaper and icons from Lion country. Maybe later for Indonesian version will be the themes with a view of the regions and cultures of Indonesia. Unfortunately MI3 that we reviewed, although using Snapdragon 800, not the international version, so no Google Apps, but you can look it up in MiStore with Google to install Play Store to later install Google applications.

Lockscreen in MI3 offers 4 shortcuts, ie, camera, SMS, Phone and unlock the screen. Such as Apple iOS, MIUI interface on MI3 only one layer, which means that only the homescreen and app drawer no. You can still install the widget on the area that is sized 4x5 apps icons. To further simplify the display, the area could be a 4x4 homescreen apps icons only. Icons apps can be incorporated into a specific folder. You can set the transition effects, Wallpaper position, and lock the position of the application. To open the Recent Apps you can hold the Home button, here too there are shortcuts to clean up the RAM memory. For notification curtain, there are two parts namely Notifications and Toggles. Indeed, so a bit inconvenient, but most do not display the notification area so clean and not confusing.
Xiaomi Mi3

Overall view MI3 interface looks attractive and easy to use. Only part of the notification bar with the two sides are rather inconvenient. Moreover, if you do not like the look icon, you can download a free or paid Themes with many options. Regarding the overall performance is very smooth, no lag. No wonder because the use of quad-core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon chipset MSM8974AB, and 2GB of RAM is a quality assurance steady performance for Android phones today. Antutu benchmark results for this phone also hit a record of the Android phones we've ever during this test. MI3 you feel less tight performance? There is a setting in the Settings Power Settings, with three choices: Battery Saving, Balance and High Performance.

Camera

The camera system in MI3 has two modes: Simple and Advance. As the name implies, the appearance of the Simple mode is easy to understand (no text in each setting) but not much, while for Advance only with icons only, although its very much. For simple mode, you can just simply choose and use the Panorama feature, Audio Capture, Skin Tones (Off, Low, Mid and High) and HDR. As for the Advance mode setting that is very varied, even professionals can be fairly compared to camera phones in general. Here comes arrangements pro at MI3:

  • White Balance (Auto, Incandescence, Daylight, Fluorescent, Cloudy, Manual and Measure)
  • Manual Exposure (ISO100 to ISO3200 election, and Exposure Time of 1/5000 seconds to 2 seconds)
  • Focus Modes: Autofocus, Macro and Manual
  • HDR, Auto Adjust, Filters and Panorama

Xiaomi Mi3

It should be noted is the option Manual Exposure, especially the Exposure Time. Rarely there is a phone that has this feature, one of which is a series of Nokia Lumia use Nokia Camera. With shutter speeds that can be set, you can shoot very fast motion using speed 1/5000 sec, or create moving light effects at low speed 2 sec. Would need light for high-speed area, as well as stable grip (if the need for a tripod) for low speed. While features white balance manually setting even not in any mobile phone, to our knowledge. These features are features in DSLR cameras and some pocket camera, so they appear in the phone is remarkable and should be appreciated.

Results clear and nice camera, the condition of the room noise does not interfere, but this is more due to noise smoothing processing. If you do not like the characteristic color if you feel less natural, you do not set the white balance manually. Because it has a manual exposure options, you can be free to be creative in a photograph, for example by using a low speed for a good photo in the condition of the room was a bit dark, but of course you have to hold the phone steady. Or high speed photo shoot, for example photos 'levitate / float' below (first photo) photographed with a speed 1/5000 sec. For HDR format images (second and third photo), it is quite helpful in backlight conditions, but the results so unnatural color, although this feature is very helpful for the third photo, if compared to the fourth picture in which HDR is turned off.

In Simple mode, the settings are there only Fast Motion (timelapse interval can be set) and filter, while in Advanced mode you can record video using the filter, change the White Balance (no manual mode), resolution and video recording Time-lapse. When recording video, you can specify the focus using the touch, or Continuous Autofocus. Results nice and clear video recording, but unfortunately the automatic adaptation of the lighting is too aggressive, so that the video be seen blinking. The resulting video file has 15000 kbps bitrate, while the resulting file is sized 110MB mp4 format for recording duration of 1 minute.

Other

Although simple, look at the photo gallery is pretty good. Photos can be viewed in the Local Images (pictures on the phone storage) or Cloud Images. Through Local Images, you can see the photos by album or folder in storage. In this gallery application even you can find photos per folder on storage, by using the File Manager display. Photos that there could be shared using other apps, edited with a simple editor and used as wallpaper or photo for a contact.

Having a dedicated video player application, you can play or buy videos online, or just play it on the phone storage. All popular formats, such as mp4, mkv, wmv and avi rotated with smooth up to 1080p resolution. Only wmv format that is not distorted. But the drawbacks are that .srt subtitle does not appear, so to overcome them you need to download applications from third-party video player. Talk about third-party applications, video playback, setting the brightness and volume like MX Player, stay swipe at the respective left and right. The interface itself is quite nice, simple and functional.

In line with the view galleries and video player, music player also has a look that is simple and functional. The output sound from the loudspeaker is not special, with enough treble deafening. As for the earphone is enough balance, but No option settings and equalizer options if you are not satisfied with the sound output from MI3.

Using the default browser, the features in it quite complete, as incognito tab, cleaning cache and cookies, night mode, by setting JavaScript, search engines, plug-in. Also there is a feature block pop-ups and pop-up float. You can use the buttons and gestures. For buttons, you can use the volume button as a button for the page to prior and subsequent, or tabs before and the next.

Connectivity

  • HSDPA, EDGE
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac
  • micro USB
  • NFC

Benchmark Results

  • AnTuTu: 35 911 points
  • Quadrant Standard: 21 962 points

Battery Life

Within 173 minutes of the extensive use of screenshots and image capture camera for samples in this review, the batteries MI3 reduced 42 percent. The highest number of indicators decline is the camera.

Excess
  • Design and materials are relatively good
  • Strong overall performance
  • Full manual camera settings, which rarely exist in the smartphone competitors
  • Good screen quality
  • MIUI

Shortage
  • Loudspeaker shrill
  • There is no micro SD slot

Conclusion

Xiaomi MI3 is a special Android smartphone. Although the brand they are relatively not very well known, but if attractively packaged and given a reasonable price positioning, I believe Xiaomi will successfully gain a foothold in the Android smartphone market. Materials and build quality is relatively good, very fast performance, including one of the other reasons.

Review : HTC One Max

HTC One Max Reviews

HTC One Max

HTC One Max - Although at the beginning of its emergence was criticized, in fact large smartphone (phablet) quite well received by the market. So do not be surprised if HTC released the One Max, which has a base foundation of the HTC One.

Specification

Snapdragon 600 quad-core 1.7 GHz with Adreno 320 GPU
2GB RAM
5.9 inch Super LCD3 screen with full HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels
4 Megapixel camera, with technology UltraPixel
battery 3300mAh

With a shape similar to the HTC One, HTC One Max wrapped premium materials by using aluminum, with stereo loudspeakers BoomSound on the front. One feature that does not exist in the One, but is present in One Max is a fingerprint recognition feature, as well as the external memory slot micro SD. Fingerprint sensor is placed in a '' box '' under the camera on the back phablet. How this phablet overall performance?

Design

By using HTC base that uses premium materials, HTC Max automatically using the same material with the HTC One. The design is very elegant, sounds a bit complicated and not simple, so it looks very high-tech. Feels quite heavy, but reasonable considering the screen is also very large, especially body material is used instead of plastic.

Part black screen and on the silver underneath, while the flanks using plastic material with a matte finish. Be careful with the side of the plastic doff this, because if exposed to dirt so it is quite difficult to clean. While the rear cover both aluminum. The material is made to hold it feels very premium feel. Moreover arch on the back makes a more comfortable grip impression, although the size of the HTC One Max is quite large. Which is a little wedge is the side that is quite stiff.
HTC One Max

But it comes to finishing, the rear cover on HTC One Max is able to be opened, unlike the unibody HTC. Impact, sometimes if you close it less fit, the cover portion would rather gaping. Mechanism to open the back cover itself is made possible by a sliding button on the left side of the phone. Unfortunately, although the back can be opened, the battery remains in place, can not be replaced easily.

Below the screen there is a button touch the back, the HTC logo and Home, is unique because it is usually the Home in the middle. At the top of the screen there proximity sensor, light sensor and front camera, also one of the stereo loudspeaker entitled BoomSound, top down, so the stereo effect will be felt when watching videos with landscape position. At the top there is a small light speakers as LED marker incoming notification. On the right side there are volume buttons. The lock button on the HTC One moves from the top (sharing function with an infrared port) to the right side. Infrared port at the top is maintained, along with 3.5 mm audio jack, while underneath there is a micro USB.

Screen

Using Super LCD3 1080p resolution as the HTC One, HTC One Max screen quality was amazing, and became one of the best compared to other high-end smartphones, let alone its size was large (5.9 inches). Problem sharpness, with a pixel density of 373 ppi more it's been more than enough. Characteristics screen itself is similar to the HTC One and One X, with a slightly yellowish white color, but not too intrusive and still natural. The angle of vision is very perfect, no symptoms foggy when viewed from the oblique viewing angle. Contrast and black level was very good.

Interface

Have the same screen resolution, and the Sense UI interface which has now reached Sense 5.5, making the interface HTC Max overall the same as the HTC One. Moreover tend no special features that take advantage of large screen smartphone developed by HTC (eg dual window). Zoom promoting good aesthetic and still have a smooth performance without lag, especially supported by the Project Butter on Android 4.3 and upper-class hardware in it.

From the lockscreen, there is a new security system that you can use the fingerprint recognition. Unlike the similar features of Apple's so-called Touch ID where the sensor is on the Home button below the screen, the HTC location of the sensor in the back, right under the camera. As the lock on the LG G2, first you might have trouble fumble location of this sensor. Moreover, it is located at the bottom of the camera, the texture is similar to a fingerprint sensor. How to unlock any different, if in the iPhone 5S quite put your finger on the sensor, then the HTC One Max, your fingers should be shifted downward to open the screen, so it is relatively more difficult. This phone can store up to 3 pieces of fingerprints. Each fingerprint can be used as the Quick Launch for applications in cell phones, quite practical. When inserting the input fingerprint, you can choose what kind of finger you use, so that the phone easier to read your fingerprint. There is a backup in the form of passwords, so you do not worry if you happen finger can not be used.

There are 5 pieces in lockscreen shortcut icons. If you use a fingerprint security system, only the camera that can be accessed without having to enter your fingerprint. If you then get out of the camera, the phone immediately ask your fingerprint. Also of course there are other security systems for lockscreen that can be used, such as slides, pins, passwords and pattern.

Ways to to Recent Apps somewhat unique, because if the home touch buttons below the screen while you press the hold, which is open is Google Now, while the Recent Apps to just tap the Home button twice. By default homescreen only 3 pages only, the maximum can be added to 5 pages. Leftmost page has been set only for BlinkFeed, but this time if you feel not need it, this feature can be turned off. You do this by holding a blank space on the screen, it opens the settings menu Home. From there is no option to turn off BlinkFeed. BlinkFeed HTC is one of the heritage features of the HTC One.

With BlinkFeed feature the user can set up their social networking accounts, news or desired feed to keep updated on the home screen by selecting a particular country content as you like, so that users will not miss the latest news or updates from friends on social networks. Everything will be displayed in the main page of HTC mobile phone screen. From BlinkFeed You can update status to your Facebook and Twitter accounts. In general, this BlinkFeed functions similar to Flipboard app, though of course much simpler and not many features. While it looks similar to the Live Tile in Windows Phone 8.

At the bottom of the screen there are shortcuts Phone, Message, Browser and Camera, but you can add more access, and thus constitute a folder. In Drawer applications, widgets Weather persists, at the top (if discroll down disappears). Existing applications can be organized alphabetically, Most Recent, and of course the custom settings up to you. While on the right there is Searching, shortcuts PlayStore and Settings. You can hide the application from the main menu. The standard size of shortcuts there are 4 x 4, app icons. For display, this time a black background app drawer only.

In the notification bar almost no customization, only the owner and a few toggle display the default Android 4.3 as fast setting for brightness, Settings, WiFi, Bluetooth, airplane mode, power saver, auto rotate, mobile data, fingerprint scans, do not disturb and Wifi hotspot.

Camera

As One, One Max was using a 4 megapixel camera with Ultra Pixel technology. With a pixel size, light that enters the sensor claimed far more, up to 300% more than conventional sensors. Resolution used is quite unique. If most of the smartphone has a maximum resolution with an aspect ratio of 4: 3, in the HTC One just resolution of 16: 9 are privileged with the greatest resolution 2688x1520 pixels. For a ratio of 4: 3 resolution is only 2048x1520 pixels only. Another one is a square aspect ratio (1: 1) 1520x1520 pixels. Virtual button camera and video recorder are now in the same viewfinder, especially now that the maximum resolution has the same aspect ratio with a maximum video resolution, the more flexible switching between camera and video.
HTC One Max

The interface itself is quite clear and intuitive. On the left side, in the middle there ZOE. Zoe is a combination of video and images, which can be made using the HTC One with the touch of a button zoe Mode. When the user touches the icon, the phone will be ready to record HD video with images, both of which will be combined in a collage with a duration of 3 seconds. You can edit, add frames, adjust effects and others. The results are in .mp4 format

There are a lot of special effects such as vignette, cubism, tilt shift focus and others. Besides its features is the Scene, HDR, Sweep panorama, Night Mode, Self Timer, Crop (resolution and aspect ratio), face detection, auto smile and geotagging, video quality settings, the duration of the reviews, image adjustment settings, ISO, white balance , grid and auto upload. To take photos you can choose to use a virtual button or perform touch to capture. Nature continues autofocus camera, if you want to focus on a specific object stay touching objects on the screen. When recording video, continuous AF remains valid, but you can lock it. Maximum own video up to 1080p. There are 4 video recording modes: Normal (1080p 30fps), Slow Motion Video, Fast HD (720p 60fps) and HDR (Full HD).

With only 4MP resolution of course many people are somewhat leery with the images of the HTC One and One Max. But apparently the result is relatively good, although in terms of sharpness is less than 13MP 41MP especially. But if you only intend to upload to social media, or simply viewed on a monitor with a resolution of Full HD or 2K (horizontal lines of pixels 2000s) was the picture still looks sharp. On the condition of the room the picture is steady, you can see for yourself, photo action figures all in makeshift lighting conditions. Outside the room, the color came out very striking, but not excessive. Catching capacity including more extensive than any other smartphone cameras both main camera and front camera is also a distinct advantage.

There are three types of video recording speed to choose from: full HD (1920x1080 pixels) 30 fps, 60 fps HD 1280x720 pixels and WVGA (768x432 pixels) slow motion. In addition there is a video with the HDR +. For video recording results are not much different from the picture, has a stable framerate and bitrate. 1080p video produces a file of 76MB in the duration of 30 seconds, with a very high bitrate, 21k kbps.

Other

HTC does not have an integrated video player application, so if you want to enjoy your videos through the Gallery application should default, unless you install a third-party video player application. Facebook integration on HTC gallery is very deep, the photographs that appear in the feeds from your Facebook account join belonging, of course, after you login. Look at the gallery was advanced but also simple, similar to the look BlinkFeed, using the rectangle as a thumbnail. The photos can be seen by Album (folder), Events and photo shoot location. Furthermore, images can be shared, highlighted, and edited using a simple editor. Slideshows can also be created, moved, copied, printed and seen details.

The lack of native applications for the least impact on the video player video format that can be played by HTC One Max. 1080p .mp4 file format can be played smoothly, but for .mkv halting. .mov Files even illegible. Subtitle .srt format can be read by the phone. Regulation is quite a lot, you could choose subtitle manually, mengubahkarakter color, opacity, background subtitle, can even change the effect that appears when the subtitles appear on the screen. With stereo loudspeaker and toned, video viewing experience more enjoyable, because in landscape mode, the speaker should really plays the stereo speakers on your TV.

There are two kinds of built-in music player, Google Play Music and music player made by HTC. In addition to other entertainment there either Analog FM Radio and Internet-based radio, TuneIn Radio. For the FM radio of course you need a headset as an antenna support. The songs on the music player on the HTC One Max divided by artist, album, playlist, genre, podcast and folders. Album art, artist photos and lyrics can be updated automatically, of course can be set to update when using any WiFi network to save your data. Unfortunately there is no equalizer settings at all, especially Beats Audio mode has disappeared. Loudspeaker stereo sound output via topnotch, taut yet clear, although the bass is not as clear as the speakers on the tablet upscale. But compared to HTC stereo loudspeaker, speaker Max One more shrill. Output sound via headset including standard and natural. File .flac, .m4a and .mp3 be read by the default music player.

HTC Max has two web browser and Chrome the default. Default browser is able to open up to 16 tabs. Interestingly, you can enable the flash player. Performance is very good, watch Youtube Full HD video directly in the browser does not weigh the relative performance of the browser, just certainly use this desktop version Youtube does not fit in a small touch screen. The features in the browser is a standard feature that also exist in other Android smartphones such as: incognito, desktop view, bookmarks and general settings such as privacy, security, accessibility checkers.

Tests play video: Within 1 hour play .mp4 videos Full HD 1080p resolution, brightness level of 50 percent, a full volume via the headset, battery decreased by 8 percent, relatively nice and durable.

Excess
  • Design relatively good
  • Build quality and top grade materials
  • The screen is bright, sharp and unsightly
  • Stereo Loudspeaker BoomSound
  • Sensor fingerprint recognition
  • The camera either indoor or outdoor satisfactory
  • Battery life is satisfactory, there is an increased very much compared to the HTC One
  • There is a Micro SD slot

Shortage
  • The battery is not removable
  • The processor used is not the highest caste today
  • Only 4MP camera resolution

Conclusion

Although the price is not yet known, but from the benchmark price for this seems to be the price of the HTC One Max will be relatively expensive. HTC One Max relatively superior in terms of design and materials are very premium. However offal (Snapdragon 600) is no longer the highest caste, although perceived performance on HTC One Max remain qualified. The camera is relatively good either indoor or outdoor conditions, although haya 4MP resolution. Do not forget, for the multimedia business, HTC Max comes titled BoomSound stereo loudspeaker, which is rarely present in the smartphone.

Review : Asus Transformer Book

Review : Asus Transformer Book

Asus Transformer Book

Asus Transformer Book - Our arrival of a new hybrid device between a tablet and a laptop made by ASUS also that ASUS Transformer Book. This hybrid device has a screen size of the laptop is 13.3 inches. In addition, the appearance and depth of the device is also equivalent to the specifications of the latest laptops. How our assessment of this jumbo sized portable device? Please read the review below.

Specifications

  • 1.7GHz Intel Core i5-3317U
  • Windows 8 64-bit
  • Intel HD 4000 GPU
  • 4GB DDR3 RAM
  • 13-3-inch IPS screen FHD
  • 128GB SSD + 500 GB HDD
  • USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi
  • 5MP camera + 0.9MP
  • Battery 5000mAh (tablets); 3200mAh (dock)

Design

Book Transformer tablet uses a similar design with a range of top-class laptop ASUS patterned circles on the back and a shiny gray, which looks also like the design of the MacBook Air. In addition to the glass on the front and buttons, the whole body following tablet dock made of aluminum metal material which makes it a premium feel when held.
Asus Transformer Book

The minus side, the weight of the tablet is quite heavy, reaching 2 pounds (shared dock) where each about one kilo. Moreover, because the components are in the tablet core, then the back of the tablet has a fan that vents to rapidly increase the temperature if it is used mainly on the left rear body. With dimensions of 33.8 x 21.8 x combined 2.4 cm then the device is certainly not seportabel other tablets.
Asus Transformer Book

You can easily install and remove the tablet to the dock only with a slider key that is in the dock, which will automatically appear premium laptop device where the Windows logo at the bottom of the tablet be closed, and the combination of different colors between the tablet and the dock. The keyboard dock has an adjustable backlight levels of explanation. ASUS also includes shortcuts on the keyboard for superior management software that is like Splendid Technology (screen), Power4Gear Hybrid (battery), special applications ASUS Transformer Book (resources), and Life Frames (camera).

Screen

ASUS Transformer Book using FullHD 1080p resolution IPS display with 13.3-inch size. The quality is not questionable, because the display looks sharp and smooth, the colors too bright, but slightly yellowish. ASUS includes an application called Splendid Technology, which through this application you can set the screen coloring composition to suit your preferences. You can set it manually or based on existing options like Theather to change the character screen becomes yellowish and Vivid change the character of the screen becomes blue.
Asus Transformer Book

Viewing angle is also good, ASUS claims this screen is able to provide the best view up to 178 degrees. Unfortunately layer of glass used is quite reflective and easy to stick a finger spots. One thing that can interfere with FullHD resolution is shrinking the size of the interface where the effect to follow the resolution touch narrower space. You could have a larger set, but of course the result will not be as sharp and smooth as if to follow the existing pixels.

Camera

Book Transformer tablet has two cameras, with a resolution of 0.9MP front and rear 5MP autofocus. In addition to using the default application Windows 8, to take a picture you can also use Life Frame application that provides a variety of interesting effects.

The quality of photos taken with the front camera is quite good even though it looks quite a lot of noise but it is quite good when compared to other manufacturers. For the main camera, the result looks sharp and bright enough, but it looks a bit pale and appeared noise in low light conditions.

With 5MP resolution you can also do video recording up to 1080p resolution. Video of the recording will be saved in MP4 format. The results of the actual picture looks good, but unfortunately very broken movement is not smooth.

Other

ASUS Transformer Book using the operating system Windows 8 64-bit version. As we know, Windows 8 is a version of Windows that is really optimized for the touch screen. Surely this operating system can run very smoothly here. However we feel some bugs that removing and installing the tablet to the dock, as the cursor is missing.

In addition to the default software such as Splendid Technology, Power4 Gear Hybrid, ASUS Transformer Book, ASUS Instant On, and Life Frame, in the default you will also find applications such as World Clock, Fresh Paint, ASUS Tutor, and some such as Microsoft's Xbox game Solitaire Collection, Taptiles , and others.

For business audio, ASUS cooperation with leading companies in the field of audio Bang & Olufsen ICEpower which produces output stereo sound via speakers behind clear quality tablet not shrill and painful ear, unfortunately not too tight though it is set to the maximum position.

Connectivity

As a tablet, the Transformer Book has pretty much connectivity as a 3.5mm headset port, microHDMI, microSD slot, and a magnetic charging port dock port for connectivity.

Not only as a complement laptop form, but this keyboard dock also has a storage capacity of 500 GB HDD memory of 128 GB SSD additional on the tablet. Available ports commonly found disebuah laptop like magnetized charging port, slot card reader, Ethernet port, two USB 3.0 ports, and a Thunderbolt port.

Battery Life

As we mentioned above, the ASUS trasformer Book powered by 5000 mAh Lithium Polymer battery in the tablet, and 3200 mAh in the dock. With the battery in the dock does not mean you have a spare battery, because the battery is used to activate the disk and the existing ports. Nevertheless it is possible that you take advantage of this to extend the battery life of the tablet, because in applications ASUS Transformer Book there is a choice Battery Up which will disable the hard drive and the port in order to supply energy to the tablet.

If used continuously for a variety of activities such as browsing, watching videos, and more, the tablet is able to survive for about 3 hours with the brightness of the display medium. If the stand-by mode tablet can last up to 10 days. For the filling from empty to full power, take up to 3 hours.

Excess
  • Premium materials
  • Specifications upscale
  • Unique form factor (tablet-laptop)

Shortage
  • The price is quite high
  • Fairly heavy weights

Conclusion

Priced at a quite high, about 15 million dollars for the Intel i5 configuration, the ASUS Transformer Book offers laptop tablet hybrid device (which is more to a laptop because it uses a standard size laptop) that have qualified specifications to support the activities of the user. With aluminum material of this device would look much less premium design similar to the Ultrabook. Perhaps the factor that you should consider if the price is not an issue is how often you will bring the 13.3-inch tablet? and also the durability of the device if the tablets are often removed and plugged into the dock remains to be seen.

Review : LG G3

Review : LG G3

LG G3

Review LG G3 - LG has introduced its newest flagship, with the tagline '' Simple is the New Smart '', LG G3 is a phone that prioritizes simplicity in use, but still powerful. Using a 5.5-inch IPS screen size, LG bring very high resolution that Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) resulting density of 538ppi screen. The other great thing of the LG G3 is Laser Autofocus. With laser shots to object, autofocus speed is claimed to be faster than using the mode Phase Detection autofocus.

Design

In terms of design, in the shape or silhouette, LG G3 inherit what is obtained from G2, complete with the lock / power eccentric at the rear cover. The lock button design somewhat modified, so it looks more integrated with the design of the rear LG G3. The front of the LG G3 dual tone sweetened with a touch of color, as well as circular patterns on the bottom, which is coated again with plastic material.
LG G3

To feel grip, different from G2 G3. If G2 using glossy plastic material that is smooth and easily soiled with sweat, then G3 using better materials, namely polycarbonate with matte finish and a mixture of 15 percent metal, and paint that makes the finish to be made of '' brushed metal ''.

Screen

LG G3 is the first smartphone in Indonesia, which comes with a Quad HD resolution screen. Talk of the screen, you might wonder why the G3 reaches 5.5 inch screen at a time when other vendors flagship only 5 and 5.2 inches. Is not the world has entered the 5.5-inch phablet, such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 2? The answer is a super slim bezel, a trend that started since the LG Optimus G Pro and LG G2. 76.4 per cent of the front of the G3 is allocated to the screen, so that the ratio of the screen to the body greater than most other smartphones, even LG G2 alone. You can see in the photo, the size of the Sony Xperia Z2 and LG G3 or less the same, even G3 looks shorter because the curved corners on the top and bottom. Whereas G3 screen measuring 5.5 inches, while the Xperia Z2 is only 5.2 inches. The difference of 0.3 inches should have a significant, but still a 5.5-inch screen used this phablet not make LG G3 be a great phablet. The use of one hand is still possible, although for typing of course another matter.
LG G3

That new wide-screen affair, what with its quality, considering QuadHD screen is one of the main selling LG G3? If the screen to Full HD 720p sharp difference was not significant but still can be felt, then to screen 2K aka Quad HD, to be honest, we did not feel a significant difference with 1080p display of sharpness. Nonetheless we compare it with the 1080p screen on a smaller field of G3, which is 5.2 inches on the Xperia Z2. Hence, compared to 5.5-inch phablet up with Full HD resolution, sharpness difference may be felt.
.
To be sure, as usual flagship smartphone from LG is always equipped with a high-quality IPS screen. Both in terms of sharpness, brightness viewing angle, contrast and black level, everything is ok. The screen itself characterized by warm and natural as well as in most of the IPS screen LG smartphone. Although the natural character, but still vibrant and exciting to be stared at. One more characteristic of the LG screen, exactly G2, which carried over to the LG G3 is the level of sharpness of the display that was a bit excessive. Not because the pixels are more tightly, but it seems like the level of sharpness is enhanced again, look at the small print that looks sharp. However, this is not too intrusive, it may be the average user will be happy with this, because reading the text so it is more convenient.

We remembered with the term '' Hyper-glazed '' on the Samsung Galaxy S3, but with better material. In terms of ergonomics, grip becomes better because the phone is not slippery, especially the rear curved ensure the comfort of your hand when holding the phone with a 5.5-inch jumbo screen. Thus, LG intends to strike a balance between metal-look that impressed exclusive, lightweight plastic material, but with a comfortable grip and not easily soiled.

Interface

In terms of user interface, simple impression reinforced back, with an interface that is more flat, like a trend that began in iOS 7, and features intelligent assistance. For example, Smart Buyer (intelligent notification as personal assistant), Adjustable Keyboard, Smart Security with Conten Lock and Kill Switch that functions when the phone is stolen, as well as the previously existing features in G2, such as Knock Code and Guest Mode. In addition to the flat interface, use the tone colors are also emphasized, but LG does not use light colors are bright and colorful, but rather use the old color is more mature, but still reflects the simplicity, powerful concepts embedded in the LG G3 own.
.
There are several kinds of interesting effects that can be selected when making a swipe at the lockscreen: Light particle, circle vector, mosaic and soda. You can add shortcuts or widgets on the lockscreen screen. LG G3 also features Knock On, you can tap the screen twice to turn on the display of standby. Additionally, you can enable the feature Knock Code. This feature protects smartphones from the possibility of unauthorized access from other parties by utilizing a combination of finger tapping on the screen. In Knock Code, the smartphone screen is divided into four quadrants are invisible. Access security with user-generated creative combination of two to eight times a knock on the quadrant in a particular order.

Turning to the Home Screen, there is a fundamental difference compared to the LG G2 interface, namely the Smart Bulletin, which provides information about the post LG Health applications, and smart tips so that you can maximize the use of your G3 LG phone. This feature can be disabled if you do not like it. In addition, the Smart Notice intelligently provide tips for you, is actually somewhat similar to Google Now. Suppose in a cloudy day, the phone sends notice form '' will rain during the day, so maybe you want to take an umbrella. '' And other types of notification.
LG G3

To edit homescreen, you need to do is just do a pinch inward against the homescreen. You can change the settings of the virtual keys (Home Touch Buttons) with some combination of back, home, recent apps as well as a choice of dual windows, notifications, quick memo, as well as the color and degree of transparency. In addition, other customization is to change the type and size of letters and Themes.
.
For ease of use, you can choose Easy Home, with large letters that prioritizes functionality and appearance. If you press the Recent Apps button, here there is an option to clear all the currently active application. In addition, there are features that true Dual Window existing in previous LG flagship phone.

The main menu is composed of 5x5 icons as icon, but as with any LG phone, the size of the icons can be enlarged, so that only fit 4x5 icons alone. Notification bar has access quick settings (quick toggle) to activate Quick Memo, Qslide, sound, data, and so on (very many options for quick set there). Then there is the brightness level settings and setting the sound level as well as a shortcut to access the settings menu.

You might imagine, the difficulty of typing on a widescreen phones like LG G3. It is true, with a standard keyboard, typing by using one hand difficult. Try not to worry, LG buried a lot of features on typing. For example, you can set the keyboard height, or enable separate keyboard mode, and features one-handed operation, which position the keyboard at the end position (right or left) only. Or maybe like Path Input assistance options (like Swype), suggestion, auto-correct, spell checker, and so on.

Using super high resolution like QuadHD the G3 will slow down the performance of the phone if it is not supported innards qualified. LG cope with a pin 801 Snapdragon processor with 2.5 GHz clock. 2GB of RAM is used to support multitasking in a large screen smartphone and this sharp. As a result, the performance of the LG G3 has very qualified to carry out your daily activities, such as what you get in other flagship smartphone. But some times we encounter lag on both the homescreen interface and app drawer. This is due to the possibility that our review is still a prototype, or because the software is still simmering until completely cooked. If the cause of this, LG will soon be expected to fix it in the next software update, or in the final product to the consumer later. Please see the video below for more details about the LG G3 interface.

Camera

On the camera, such as current trends LG favor the front camera to photograph selfie, equipped with a 2.1MP front camera and pinned a large aperture of f / 2.0. Suppose features a fist to activate the timer. 5 Stretch your fingers and make a fist, then the timer will automatically turn on, more details see in the video. The other is to make your face brighter the screen lit while selfie.
.
For the rear camera of LG also not kidding. Resolution 13-megapixel main camera with a fixed aperture of f / 2.4, but some improved features, such as dual LED flash, and OIS +, which claimed 20 percent more stable than the OIS on LG G2. However, the most innovative is the Laser Autofocus. With laser shots to object, autofocus speed is claimed to be faster than using the mode Phase Detection autofocus. Here, back to the G3 Simple theme is emphasized. To take pictures of objects, simply touch any object on the screen. Autofocus with a laser so fast will make your photos directly photographed shortly after the touch screen, no need to wait for the camera looking focus. When tested, it is with this method of shooting is faster than the phone in general. + OIS (Optical Image Stabilization +) itself was very helpful when you are in a state of shooting with one hand, for example.

Simple concept brought G3 carry over well to the camera feature, which is not as much as its predecessor. There are only Auto mode, Magic Focus (by taking multiple images at once, you can determine the focus after the photo was taken), panorama, and Dual (photographed with front and rear cameras simultaneously). There are also features HDR, which is useful for photographing objects to the source of light, to make it more visible. Additionally, features include setting resolution assistance (photos and video), Cheese Shutter (photographed using a voice command such as cheese, smile, whiskey, kimchi, LG), a timer and stripes help to facilitate your set composition.

The camera is quite good, especially its HDR mode draw between the shadow and the light source, and still natural, not like HDR on other phones that sometimes too natural, or sometimes even not felt. However, the lack of arrangements such as ISO quite unfortunate, limit your creativity. In the room noise is not too intrusive, but this is because the software automatically process images and reduce noise, so the detail is sacrificed, no brush effects.

There are four modes of video recording, the UHD (3840x2160 pixels), FHD (1920x1080 pixels), HD (1280x720 pixels), and Slow Motion (1280x720 pixels 120fps). At first a little confused to find a resolution setting, it turns out there are in-Resolution Settings option. Video settings and the camera turns together so for the first time maybe you confused.

Other

LG G3 using Gallery features that generally exist in the current Android devices, where you can see the entire photo or video files in the phone storage, or view by folder (album) only. Screen zooming feature is also present here, so you can vary the size of thumbnail images with pinch to zoom. You can rename files, rotate photos, make cropping, perform simple editing and displays considerable detail images such as camera model, focal length, ISO settings and others. Photos can directly be shared through Bluetooth, email, social networks and others.

Unlike G2, G3 LG does not have a special application to play the video. So, to watch the video you need to use the Gallery app. However, its still abundant. For example, .srt subtitle formats can be displayed, complete with the subtitle search manually, synchronization as well as the size, font, background and other letters. As the application of MX Video Player, you can adjust the brightness of the screen when watching a video, with a vertical sweep motion. The touch screen can also be locked when playing video.

Certainly, G3 default video player is very powerful, both of the type of video that can be played, as well as video bitrate that can be played. We tried to play a .mp4 video with a resolution of 4K Ultra HD (3840x2160 pixels) with a bitrate of 60Mbps, so the generated files of 252MB for video lasted 42 seconds. The video can be played without any problems. Similarly, a video mp4 other heavyweight, with a size of 552MB for a duration of 2 minutes 18 seconds. Thanks to the super-sharp screen resolution of 2K, 4K and 2K video look sharper, than if played at 1080p screen mobile. The file format that can be played alone, among others: mp4, mkv and avi.

Not only MP3 files can be played on LG G3. This smartphone is also able to play .flac with HiFi quality (24 bit, 192kHz). HiFi quality LG claimed more original, pure, natural and certainly more qualified to approach the original recording of the song that is playing. In addition, the music player split existing songs by Songs, Albums, Artists and genres. Songs that there could even be seen by folder. You can compile a list of playlists and favorite.

There are two web browser application on LG G3 namely the Internet and Google Chrome. There is an interesting feature in the default browser (Internet) that capture plus (capture and save a page in an image format). In opening the full site with lots of content faster performance, almost no wait time loading content (assuming fast internet use) and smooth, well when scrolling, pinch and zoom and others. The features and settings that are certainly not inferior to other phones, namely: incognito window, the Find, share, Bookmarks, an option to always open the desktop site, save for offline reading and setting the screen brightness. Also of course there is the standard setting the cache, cookies, form data, javascript, zoom, page content, accessibility and others.

Conclusion

The concept of '' Simple is the new smart '' very firmly embedded in LG G3. From the interface, the camera features and so on. No doubt about it, the G3 is one of the best smartphone today. Indeed, there are still some shortcomings, but the excess was not owned by other vendors for the moment, such as 2K screen. Also do not forget, even though the incoming class flagship. Thus we can state that the LG G3 is the Best Value for Android smartphone flagship species, for the time being.
